California's San Joaquin Valley is a railfan mecca, over-looked by most railfans.  The contemporary San Joaquin Valley is a busy rail corridor, that hosts B.N.S.F. and U.P. as they run many trains daily to the Bay Area, and to points north into Oregon, and beyond, and east over the busy Donner Pass Overland Route.  Click on the thumbnail of choice to railfan California's fabulous San Joaquin Valley.

If you like big-time railroad action, check out U.P.R.R.'s busy San Joaquin Valley Line.

Now just a memory, but only a few years ago, Southern Pacific ruled the Central Valley.

A.T.&S.F. was taken over by B.N.S.F. and they run lots of trains through the valley.

Another "fallen flag," this section has stories and photos of W.P.R.R. trips

Naturally, you can see that this page if very much under construction.  It will be updated, as time and resources permit.  Thank you for your understanding.
