Back in the late 1970's, a friend of mine introduced me to the Western Pacific Railroad. Although I was living in Turlock, which was actually the southern end of the Tidewater Southern, I wasn't really all that familiar with the W.P. until Rob introduced me to it. From about 1978 until I moved from the area in 1981, I managed to take a few trips to explore and photograph W.P. operations. Click on the thumbnail of choice to join me in a W.P.R.R. adventure, complete with photos.
