The mighty Southern Pacific Railroad, known to fans as "Espee" was once THE railroad in California, and was responsible for the surveying and founding of many San Joaquin and Sacramento Valley towns.  S.P. is without a doubt my favorite railroad, and I was very sorry to see it taken over by U.P.  But all good things must end...
