Steam engines have to be seen, and observed working in their natural habitat, to be truly appreciated, as they take on the persona of a living beast, as they huff, puff, chug, smoke, and spew steam from every office possible. In my humble opinion, there has never been a more fascinating transportaion machine created by man than the steam locomotive.

Join me as I take you with me on trips, railfanning the great steam beast.  Click on the thumbnail of choice to open up the trip of choice.

Jan. 13, 2007:  We railran the Ramada Express Railroad in Laughlin Nevada.

More steam railroading stories are coming down the track...

Sept. 12 & 13, 2005:  At Durango, Colorado, we visit the Durango and Silverton Railroad.

February 1976:  "Freedom Train" plows through the central San Joaquin Valley.

More steam is on the way, as time and other things permit.  Thanks for checking out our web site!
