If you're looking for fancy, cosmopolitan dining, you'd better pass on San Vicente, as it doesn't exist in the small town. But if you're looking for delicious Mexican cuisine, prepared by friendly folks operating from small taquerias, loncherías, restaurants and taco shops, you've come to the right place. Click on the link of choice, and I'll share with you my dining experiences at San Vicente, Baja California, Mexico. Lonchería Sonora: I stopeed for a carne asada torta, and ended up enjoying one of the most delicious bowl of posole that I've had in years, served by a friendly and talkative lady. Menuderia La Mejor: As the name implies, this small restaurant specilizes in menudo, and they serve the best menudo in San Vicente. La Mixteca: Lonchería la Mixteca is a small, family-owned and operated diner that serves delicious tacos de carne asada, burritis, quesadillas, and a full breakfast menu as well. Birrieria San Vicente: Advertises "tortillas hecho a mano," and they really do make their corn tortillas by hand, while you watch. They also prepare a very delicious carne asada torta... Los Carrisos: Two lovely young ladies operate this small restaurant, located along Highway 1, and they serve only one entrée: Carne asada tortas. No problem, as their tortas are to die for... El Torito: Features delicious tacos de cabeza, lengua and labio for the small price of MEX $6.00 each, that's around a half of a U.S. buck! You can't beat the price! Restaurant Chayos: Full service restaurant and bar, even features live music during the evening, I enjoy a delicious breakfast of eggs, refried beans, feta cheese, and in-house-made corn tortillas. Birrieria San Vicente... reprise: Heading home, I couldn't resist stopping by to sample their delicious in-house made tortillas, and enjoy a couple of birria de res tacos.
