Where do I eat when I'm visiting the fascinating city of Tijuana? I avoid American-style restaurants, five-star restaurants, and any restaurant that caters to gringo tourists. Go ahead and choose your favorite zone... ¡Buen Comida! Zona Rio: Features some of the finest dining in Baja Calirornia, and if you're walking across the border, this is the first zone that you will encounter, when you enter Mexico, and walk to Tijuana. Zona Centro: Downtown Tijuana and the adjacent streets are filled with many interesting places to grab a taco, or enjoy fine dining! Zona Norte: Sin City, famous for hookers, prostitutes, working girls and strip bars, Zona Norte features many outstanding, mom-and-pop loncherias, diners, street vendors, and lots of good eating! Zona Madero: Located south of downtown Tijuana, this area includes Colonias (Col.) Cacho, Morales, and Juarez. Lots of family restaurants, diners and street vendors. Rosarito Beach: Just a half hour south of Tijuana, but world's away, this tourist town offers surprisingly good, authentic Mexican food. Copyright(c) 2009 eRench Productions, Inc.
