Back to Tijuana Restaurants

Zona Centro of Tijuana stretches west from the Tijuana River, and offers a variety of dining experiences.  No matter what variety of Mexican cuisine you prefer, you're sure to find it in Zona Centro, and downtown Tijuana.

Sanborn's Hermanos:  Landmark, classy Tijuana restaurant that caters to the tastes of Americans, yet serves delicious, traditional, Mexican cuisine.

Lonchería Las Rosas:  Tiny restaurant, located near the route to downtown, staffed by two of the friendlist women in town, that serves great menudo, eggs, beans and other Mexican diner fare.

Tacos El Chiapas:  Staffed by three guys who love to be photographed, and will keep you laughing, this place is no laughing matter when it comes to delicious carne asada tacos... yep, they're delicious!

La YeYe:  The place to go if you love juicy, messy, bacon wrapped hot dogs, loaded with grilled onions, diced tomatoes and white onions.  Oh yes!

Brother and Sister Hot Dogs:  Small hot dog and hamberger cart, operated by a brother and sister, with mom nearby, who sell good, but but very basis hot dogs for a reasonable price.

Tacos Varios:  Small taco cart that offers six varieties of tacos, garnished by neon green salsa verde, on Av. Revolución, south of the major tourist zone.

Emiliano's Tacos:  Specializes in carne asada, tripe and chorizo tacos, Jalisco-style, served by some of the friendliest folks west of downtown Tijuana.

Tacos Varios de Victor:  Serves a variety of delicious, BIG tacos, from a small taco stand, on a busy street corner in downtown Tijuana, and seems to have become the talk of the town.

No Name Hot Dogs:  Small hot dog cart in the heart of downtown Tijuana that serves bacon wrapped hot dogs for only one dollar.

Paco's Hot Dogs:  Grilled, bacon wrapped hot dogs served from small cart, located at the corner of 4th and Negrete, by Paco.  Delicious hot dogs!

Tacos Varios:  Manny's tacos have a not-so-secret ingredient that puts his tacos to the head of the line:  Rice.  But that's not all, as his tacos are some of the best in the Zona Centro.

Restaurant La Fonda Del Patio:  Features super friendly service, and delicious tacos, cooked on a grill in the street in front of the restaurant, and is a paradise for people watching, as you sip an icy, cold beer.

Tacos de Cerveza:  This busy taco trailer gets their name from the beer they use in the batter for the fish tacos they sometimes serve...

Calientitos Delicios:  Delicious bacon wrapped hot dogs, grilled to perfection by a street vendor, who sets up his cart under the fabled Tijuana arch.

Churros Mary:  Mary sets up her churro cart each day at the base of the famous Tijuana arch, and sells delicious deep fried churros to tourists, and locals alike.

Hot Dogs Exquisitos:  Another exquisite hot dog cart, operated by Eduardo, who sells very plain hot dogs at a reasonable price.

Hot Dogs Exquisitos:  Hot dog cart located on busy Calle Articulo 123, that serves delicious bacon wrapped hot dogs to tourists and locals alike.

El Meño:  Serves custom made tacos al pastor at a price that simply unbelievable.  Just because their tacos are cheap doesn't mean they're not good... they're delicious!

Tacos Dos Hermanos:  Small propane fired taco cart, staffed by two brothers who serve birria and lengua tacos, stuffed with pinto beans.

El Poblado:  Small taco stand that serves delicious tacos al pastor for an unbelievably low price.  Very busy, and a favorite of the locals.

Mariscos Olas Atlas:  Fresh, delicious seafood cocktails, prepared on a busy street corner, under primitive conditions, which seem to make the mariscos taste even better.

Auto-Tortilleria La Mexicana:  If you're looking for a GIGANTIC bowl of the most delicious menudo that's brewed on the planet, look no further than La Mexicana, located in the auto repair district near downtown Tijuana.

Se Vende Churros:  If you like churros, deep fried on the streets of Tijuana, you'll love this churro cart, staffed by two friendly ladies.

Taco Loco:  Pedestiran-friendly, gringo-friendly, and a fun place to people-watch, sip $.99 beers and relax.  Serves great tacos to tourists and locals alike, on Articulo 123, not far from downtown Tijuana.

NoName Street Taco Stand:  Located on the sidewalk at the busy corner of Niños Heros, and Calle 2 in downtown Tijuana, this street taco stand serves delicious tacos, but enjoys almost too much business!

Taqueria Dinos:  Do  you like tacos?  Any type of tacos?  Especially tacos de tripa?  Check out Taqueria Dinos, on Calle 2, just a few meters away from "Av. Rev.," yet years away from the crazy stuff on Av. Revolución.

Tacos Al Vapor:  One of the friendliest restaurants that I've ever had the pleasure to visit in Tijuana, Tacos Al Vapor serves delicious posole and more, with the friendliest service that you'll ever enjoy...

El Problano:  Located at the corner of Calle 2 and Av. Madero off the tourist zone in Tijuana, this brother/sister operation specializes in tacos al pastor, roasted from a vertical spit, for under a dollar.

Taco La Fama:  If you crave birria or tacos de tripa, this little taco stand, located at the corner of Calle Hidalgo and Blvd. Pico Pico will fill your needs, and leave you with a full stomach, and a smile on your face.

Leyva's Tacos:  A restaurant  institution situated near the heart of Tijuana's famed Av. Revolución, Leyva's combines great tacos, friendly service, and a Tijuana atnosphere that you'll remember for many years.
