During our visit to the central market, we wandered around, and explored some of the many stores, including a butcher shop, a store that sells dried chile pepper, beans and other dried commodities, and Jerry enjoyed a refreshing licuado.

La Potosina:  Small stand that specializes in practically any variety of dried chile pepper found in the state of Tamulipas, plus beans, onions and more... sold in bulk, and purchased by the kilo.

Carnicerķa El As:  Small butcher shop that prides itself on selling only quality beef, we noticed cecina haning over the counter, next to chorizo... and they sell in-house made tortillas all day!

La Fuente:  Located inside the central market, this small, one-woman operation sells what seems to be an endless variety of jugos and licuados, made from scratch, before your eyes.
