Sonora is an American tourist-friendly Mexican state, that offers beautiful desert scenery, spectacular fun along the beaches of the Sea of Cortez, and lots of fun things to do, and interesting places to explore. Click on the link below to explore some of the adventures that I've enjoyed in the state of Sonora. Sonoyta: Many Norteamericans pass through this charming town, on the way to Puerto Peñasco, but how many tourists stop and enjoy this interesting town? Truly a diamond in the rough. Cabroca: Advertised as the "Pearl of the Desert," this small town features many interesting places to enjoy local cuisine. Puerto Peñasco: This favorite place is a favorite of the Arizona "Spring Break crowd," but it has a lot to offer for the non-party-type person, the watersport enthusiast, or a dedicated taco lover, such as the author. Nogales: Big. Crowded. Fascinating. I take a quick 2-hour tour to downtown Nogales in this interesting border city. Federal Highway 2: I drive Highway 2, from San Luis Río Colorado to Sonoyta, along the federal highway. Sonora State Highway 36: I drive from Puerto Peñasco to Caborca, along Sonora State Highway 36, which proves to be quite an adventure. Copyright(c) 2007 Eric's Enterprises, Etc. All rights reserved.
