Sonoyta is a small town, of about 18,000 wonderful people in population, located in extreme northern Sonora, close to the Arizona border. Most Americans just pass through the town, as it's the gateway to its glitzy neighbor, Puerto Peņasco to the south, but I took the opportunity to stay overnight in the town, and do a bit of exploring. Downtown Sonoyta: Yes, I have to explore the commerical heart of the small town of Sonoyta, and I even get a municipal police officer to allow me to take his picture! Residential Sonoyta: Call me curious or whatever, but I love to take photos of people's houses and places where they live, especially in a photo-friendly town like Sonoyta.
