El Rosario is a small town, located along Mexico Federal Highway 1, and is the last stop for services for nearly 200 miles, as you travel south on Baja California's transpenninsular highway. Click on the link of interest to visit beautiful El Rosario. About El Rosario: About the town, about the area, illustrated with photos taked during my visit of October, 2007. La Cabaña Motel: I spent a rather interesting night at the LaCabaña Motel, one of only two motels in town. Restaurants and Taquerias: I enjoy delicious tacos and menudo, at restaurants, loncherias and taco stands... Valley of the Ciros: I travel through the famous Valley of the Ciros cactus. If you've never seen these interesting cactus, you won't believe your eyes. Hector's Shrine: Hector was a truck driver, killed along Highway 1, south of El Rosario, and his friends and family member have erected an elaborate highway shrine in his memory.
