I used to believe that shoes were made, but after visiting several shoe trees, I now know that shoes really do grow on trees!

Largest Nevada Shoe Tree:  Standing like a lonley sentinel, along the "Lonliest Road in America," ths gigantic cottonwood tree sports an amazing variety and quantity of footwear.

Amboy Shoe Tree:  It's a fortunate day for me, as I have the privilege of photographing a world-class shoe tree athlete tossing additional decorations in the tree.

Hawthorne Shoe Tree:  Located north of Hawthorne, NV along U.S. 395, this cottonwood tree is a magnet for shoe throwers in Central Nevada.

Yucca Valley Shoe Tree:  Unlike it's cottonwood cousins, this piņon pine has just joined the shoe tree club, and appears to have a bright shoe tree future ahead of it.
