How does four days of exploring some of the scenic wonders of the Tahoe National Forest sound?  I'm talking about places like Cuckoo Ridge, Duncan Peak Lookout, Robinson Flat, Meadow Lake and the Sierra Trek base camp. Not to mention, a bit of four-wheeling thrown into the mixture.  Click on the thumbnail of choice to open up the day's adventure, with text and lots of digital photos.

Day One:  Mosquito Ridge Road, Cuckoo Ridge, Duncan Peak and Robinson Flat.

Day Two:  I explore Meadow Lake and Sierra Trek base camp.

Day Three:  Four wheeling Henness Pass, Bowman and Jackson Reseroirs.

Day Four:  On the way home, I drive the Gaston Grade Road and railfan U.P. at Blue Canyon.

One of the nice things is that all of this scenic, beautiful alpine county is just a little over an hour from my home. Roseville, in western Placer County, is certainly a nice place to live for the 4WD enthusiast!
