Back to CA4WDC's Panamint Valley Days

My friend  Jonathan Dolan and I attended CA4WDC's 18th annual Panamint Valley Days the second weekend of November, 2003, and had an outstanding four-wheeling experience at PVD!  Our write-up is arranged by chapters, so click on the tumbnail of interest to open up the chapter of interest!  Well see you on the trail...  at Panamint Valley Days.

The drive to base camp, setting up our camp, and Panamint Valley Days Base Camp.

We take a trip to the seldom visited Big Four Mine, at the north end of Panamint Valley.

Geocaching, Panamint Springs Resort and other Panamint Valley points of interest.

We run experience the Jackpot Canyon run, on one of PVD's organized trail runs.

John Hively led our run up the Defense Mine trail, and you have to run it to believe it!

Chef Andy's BBQ dinner, the Saturday night raffle, and the long drive home.

Panamint Valley Days happens every year, during the second weekend of November, and it is one of the most awesome four-wheel drive events that you can ever imagine.  If you are an off-highway, scenic-byway enthuiast and you have a vehicle with a low-range transfer case, you don't want to miss Panamint Valley Days.  PVD has it all:  Breathtaking desert scenery, runs ranging from mild to extra-wild, wonderful, friendly people, and the best cafe that you'll ever find out in some of the most rugged desert wilderness that California has to offer. Panamint Valley Days has it all!
