I joined the Ham Radio team at Robinson Flat campground, in the Tahoe National Forest, to provide radio communications for the 2009 Western States Trail Ride, popularly called the Tevis Cup. Ham Radio Communications at Robinson Flat: My experiences as a member of the Amatuer Radio team providing communications for the Tevis Cup at busy Robinson Flat.

Robinson Flat Horse Hospital: Robinson Flat Checkpoint had a complete hospital for horses, staffed by friendly and compitent volunteer veterinarians and assistants.

Norm Paul Water Truck: A Peterbilt tank truck provided water for man and beast alike, and helped to tame the dust. Resource donated by a local company.

Blacksmith Shop: You won't believe this... a complete horse-oriented machine shop in-a-trailer, with a forge, anvils and every tool needed to keep horses and saddles operational.
